Resident Orchestra at Acland Burghley School

Acland Burghley is a comprehensive school in Camden. It also happens to be our home. Read the full story.

The image shows a view of the Royal Festival Hall in London from across the River Thames. People are gathered along the riverside, where outdoor seating and trees provide a vibrant atmosphere under a partly cloudy sky. High-rise buildings are visible in the background.

Resident Orchestra at Southbank Centre

Southbank Centre is the UK’s largest arts centre, and one of its top 5 visitor attractions, located on the South Bank of the River Thames in London.

We are one of four Resident Orchestras contributing to an exciting, year-round series of classical concerts.

We perform around 10 concerts each year across Southbank Centre venues, the Royal Festival Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall. In addition, our OAE TOTS concerts and workshops introduce children aged 2 to 5 to the magic of classical music.

A brick building with a red roof sits at the end of a large, well-maintained lawn. Tall trees cast long shadows across the grass. Several people are enjoying the sunny day, sitting and standing in the shaded areas and along the perimeter of the building.

Associate Orchestra at Glyndebourne

Glyndebourne is an opera house in the heart of the Sussex countryside. Founded in 1934, it is now one of the finest and most celebrated opera houses in the world, performing to some 150,000 people across a summer Festival and an autumn Tour.

As Associate Orchestra, we perform in several operas each summer, specialising in Baroque and Classical-era operas. Our performances of Handel and Mozart operas at Glyndebourne have been particularly celebrated. Our relationship started with our performances of Mozart’s Idomeneo with Simon Rattle at the 1989 Festival.

A modern glass-fronted building with a wavy design stands by the roadside. It is situated next to a traditional red-brick building. Both structures are under a clear blue sky, with minimal street elements including a lamppost and some trees visible in the distance.

Artistic Associate at Kings Place

Kings Place is an arts venue located in King’s Cross, boasting a state-of-the-art 415-seat concert hall with a fabulous acoustic for classical music, as well as comedy, folk, jazz and literature events.

We perform concerts as part of Kings Place’s flagship Unwrapped series as well as Bach, the Universe and Everything, our Sunday morning music and science series, featuring Bach cantatas and talks by leading scientists.

Modern building with an angular, metallic design on the upper level and a brick base, surrounded by shrubs and trees. The structure features large, geometric shapes and a combination of glass and metal panels. The sky is clear and blue.

Orchestra in Association at Anvil Arts

The Anvil in Basingstoke is a 1,400-seat concert hall boasting one of the UK’s finest acoustics, universally celebrated by musicians and audiences alike. It welcomes performances by many world-leading orchestras and has relationships with ourselves and the Philharmonia Orchestra as Artistic Associates.

Each year we usually play three concerts at The Anvil, which have recently featured world-famous artists including Nicola Benedetti, Marin Alsop and Sir Simon Rattle.

Situated next to Basingstoke station, The Anvil is easily accessible for audiences in South East England via rail and is just a 43-minute journey from London Waterloo.

A modern, red-painted building with large windows sits amidst a landscaped area with green lawns and young trees. The sky above is partly cloudy, and a paved walkway leads to the entrance. The building's design features a mix of flat and angled roofs.

Orchestra in Association at Wiltshire Music Centre

Wiltshire Music Centre is a professional concert hall in Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire. Recognised nationally, the Centre attracts world-renowned performers from across the classical, world, contemporary, jazz and folk genres to present over 150 concerts a year.

The organisation was founded 20 years ago by a group of visionary local people who realised that there was a serious need for top-quality performance and rehearsal facilities in the area. Since then, the Centre has built an enviable reputation as a professional concert hall of exceptional quality, rooted in community participation and involvement. We perform two or three concerts a year, and the Centre is also a focus of our Education programme.

A large, historic mansion with a symmetrical facade, arched windows, and beige brickwork stands amidst a well-maintained lawn. Bare trees are scattered across the grassy foreground, and the entire scene is bathed in soft daylight.

Associate Orchestra at Ryedale Festival

Every year, the Ryedale Festival welcomes outstanding performers from all over the world, both established and emerging, to perform a wide-ranging and distinctive programme in the many spectacular venues in and around Ryedale, North Yorkshire – an area full of history and natural beauty.

For the past few years, we have performed a concert at each year’s Festival. Our Experience ensemble of gifted emerging players also plays there regularly.
