Adam Fischer is the latest conductor added to our roster of Principal Artists.
Born in Budapest Adam Fischer is one of the leading conductors of our time. He was a student of Hans Swarowsky and knew from an early age that music can, and has to, carry a message. In 1987, Adam founded the Österreichisch-Ungarische Haydn Philharmonie intending to overcome the prejudices of the Iron Curtain, and those against Joseph Haydn’s music.
Adam Fischer is recognised, by audiences and musicians alike, as a mediator between music and the outside world. In 2022 he was awarded with the International Classical Music Award for his lifetime achievements.
"Conductor Adam Fischer – charming, generous, and inclusive – came alive in the symphony, signaling his appreciation to the audience at every opportunity. "
