Rachel grew up in Stratford-upon-Avon and studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She is also Principal Flute and Recorder with Sir Eliot Gardiner’s English Baroque Soloists and a regular Guest Principal with other period orchestras, such as the Academy of Ancient Music.

She enjoys a varied career in all the early styles of solo, chamber and orchestral music and is a Professor of Recorder and Baroque flute at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff.
